SamBoad Publishing Owns 100% shares now in Accra Street Journal

Press Release: SamBoad Publishing Owns 100% shares now in Accra Street Journal

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

In a strategic move to strengthen its presence in Ghana’s digital media landscape, SamBoad Publishing, a subsidiary of SamBoad Holdings Ltd., has officially acquired Accra Street Journal from NabsTech Digital Solutions, a Ghana-based media and tech company. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed as previous ones.

The acquisition marks a significant milestone for both parties. For SamBoad Publishing, this represents an expansion of its digital publishing footprint under the SamBoad Publishing Ltd, which already manages multiple but now merged reputable online platforms including Ghana Health Journal, Brand Focus Africa, SKB Journal, and The Ghana Times.

According to company sources, the integration of Accra Street Journal into SamBoad’s publishing ecosystem is intended to enhance hyperlocal coverage, especially in Accra’s political, business, lifestyle, and opinion-based reporting. The platform will retain its identity but operate under the editorial guidance and infrastructure of SamBoad Publishing.

Samuel Kwame Boadu, founder and Editor-In – Chief of SamBoad Holdings Ltd., said the acquisition is part of a long-term vision to build a media portfolio that offers “authentic African narratives, strong SEO presence, and journalistic credibility across all regions in Ghana and beyond.”

“Accra Street Journal has already built a loyal audience, and we intend to invest in its editorial quality, opinion section, and digital reach,” Boadu said. “This is a win-win for us and for readers who want credible, contextual, and compelling stories rooted in Accra.”

NabsTech Digital Solutions, the former owner who owned 51% shares but now sells all its shares to SamBoad, described the sale as a strategic decision that will allow the firm to focus more on its core technology solutions while ensuring that the media brand continues to grow under an experienced publishing Hub and Team.

“We are proud of what we started with Accra Street Journal with SamBoad, and we’re confident that SamBoad will scale it further while maintaining its original voice,” said Dominic Nabiga, founder of NabsTech.

The acquisition also means content published on Accra Street Journal will now be cross-promoted across SamBoad’s growing media network. Editorial direction, SEO optimization, and monetization strategies—including AdSense and future sponsored opinion columns—are expected to receive immediate upgrades.

Industry sources estimate similar media acquisitions done by SamBoad Publishing through SamBoad Holdings Ltd ranged between GHS 40,000 and GHS 100,000 on its acquired digital assets which are Brand Focus Africa, Accra Daily News, Accra Weekly News, The Ghana Times and Accra Sports News all acquired from NabsTech Digital Solutions. While the exact amount remains confidential on all these assets and previous, both parties acknowledged the deal as fair and forward-looking.

This deal adds to the growing trend of digital media consolidation in Ghana, as content creators and media entrepreneurs seek partnerships that offer scale, efficiency, and impact. SamBoad Holdings Ltd is a silent media group that has 100% shares in both SamBoad Business Group Ltd and SamBoad Publishing Ltd as its subsidiaries
